Welcome to my blog, I'm Tiven!

HI, I'm Tiven! I started Specifically Cinema as a place to discuss my ideas about movies, a way for me to track the film projects I'm personally working on, and a place I could go to talk specifically about cinema. I want a place where in a few years I can look back and see how far I've come. 

Since I was little I've loved movies. I didn't register that movies were the result of a long and thought out series of ideas. However, when I did find out, I wanted to be part of it. When I was about 6 years old I made a decision that I was going to be an actress and there was no stopping me from doing so. As I got older, I learned how much went on behind the camera, and how I was more interested in the hundreds of jobs behind the scenes. At the beginning of 2020 I realized that a career in film production was the only job I could see myself doing, and enjoy doing. Recently I've been practicing writing screenplays and editing using Adobe Premiere. Currently, I am researching and applying to colleges with film production programs, along with taking an introductory producing class through Vancouver Film School. ​

Some movies that have inspired me to start making my own films include Sophie's Choice, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Vertigo, and The Peanut Butter Falcon.
